Our outdoor process (so it lasts — and looks built-in)
1) Measure & consult
We attend site to confirm spans, wind exposure, boundary clearances, drainage paths, fall directions and existing materials/finishes. We discuss sun angles, privacy requirements, council sensitivities and maintenance expectations.
Outcome: a functional brief with real-world constraints and goals.
2) Design & materials
We prepare CAD drawings with elevations/sections, confirming post sizes, beam spans, fixing points, drainage, louvre directions, gate swings and handrail heights. We specify species and finishes suited to your exposure (full sun, coastal, shaded, high splash). Where metal framing or glass is involved, we coordinate interfaces.
Outcome: approved drawings, material schedule and a realistic timeline.
3) Manufacture (in-house, Girraween)
We cut, pre-assemble and pre-finish where practical (primer/coats on all sides for timber components) and stage hardware (galvanised/stainless) to speed installation.
Outcome: ready-to-install assemblies protected for transport.
4) Install & handover
We protect surfaces, set levels and falls, fix to appropriate structure, align reveals and tune gates/doors for smooth operation. We seal penetrations and edges, install caps and flashings, and finish with a care guide.
Outcome: neat, solid carpentry that looks intentional and sheds water properly.
